The Thelma P. Lally School of Education-A Testament to the Importance of Teacher Education

The $15 million Thelma P. Lally School of Education is a national model for the training of teachers, counselors, speech therapists, and school leaders. The building consists of the Carl E. Touhey Forum (a multimedia space used for lectures and panel discussions), classrooms, computer labs, offices, an education and curriculum library, and an educational and clinical services center (with an on-site preschool and a speech and hearing clinic serving clients of all ages). The entire building is wireless and each classroom is equipped with a multimedia station. While primarily providing a home for the College’s education programs, this building provides a focus and unique space for the campus as a whole.
