Saint Rose prepares extraordinary teachers, here’s how.
The Saint Rose Masters in Early Childhood and Childhood Education program is designed for individuals who want to bring their passion for teaching to their own classroom, even if their degree is in a field other than education.
Small classes, caring and dedicated professors, and rigorous preparation for classroom teaching are hallmarks of the Master of Science in Early Childhood and Childhood Education program at The College of Saint Rose.
For example, psychology majors will apply what they have learned about cognition and the science of the brain to develop engaging lessons. Fine arts and music majors will learn how to foster student engagement by infusing their own creativity into the classroom. Even if you think your undergraduate coursework does not directly apply to education, let our experienced faculty show you how it will make you an extraordinary educator.
Students complete classroom and field experiences that will lead to initial and professional certification for both Birth – 2nd grade and 1st – 6th grade in New York State.
