The Office of Intercultural Leadership will host the ALANA and Lavender Reception to celebrate historically underrepresented and/or traditionally marginalized students in one of their most important milestones – Graduation! The reception is a pre-commencement celebration for graduating African, African American, African Caribbean, Latino/a, Asian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and Native American (ALANA) students, students who have participated in the ALANA Leadership Peer Mentoring Program and graduating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally (LGBTQA) students. The reception is an opportunity for the Saint Rose community to acknowledge and honor student achievements and contributions to the College and the broader community.
The ALANA and Lavender Reception takes place on Sunday, April 7 from 12-2pm in Saint Joseph’s Auditorium and will include light refreshments. Graduating participants will receive certificates, rainbow cords and/or a kente stole. The program begins promptly at 12pm and is followed by time to socialize beginning at 1:30pm.
If you would like to participate in the ALANA and Lavender Reception, please register by Friday, March 15th.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Lamara J. Burgess at email@example.com. We look forward to celebrating with you!
