Bias and Discrimination Reporting
We offer any member of our community – and encourage all members of our community – to report incidents of bias behavior, discrimination, or harassment.
When incidents are reported by the complainant or a witness, the Bias Response Team will respond promptly.
Please note that anonymous reporting may limit access to information and hinder the College’s ability to fully address the concern. All are encouraged to submit a report, even if they are uncomfortable identifying themselves, as any information shared may be useful.
The reporting form gives you the ability to share all of the details you have observed, witnessed, or experienced. Please be as detailed as possible to assist us in resolving the complaint.
Ways to report An incident
Incidents related to bias, discrimination, harassment, hate crimes and retaliation may be reported in the following ways:
- Formal report: Members of the community can make a formal bias complaint by filling out the Bias, Discrimination, Harassment, Hate Crimes and Retaliation Reporting Form, in which they provide their identity and contact information. An investigator will then follow up to discuss the complaint and begin the process.
- Anonymously: We offer the ability for members of our community to anonymously report incidents of bias that they have experienced or witnessed. This does not trigger an investigation. It serves as a way to create awareness and measure the community climate. To report anonymously, complete the Bias, Discrimination, Harassment, Hate Crimes and Retaliation Reporting Form without a reporter’s name and contact information. Call the anonymous hotline at 518-454-5275 (or x5275 from a campus phone) and leave a message; or if you choose to fill out the following bias complaint form, every effort will be made to keep your identity confidential. All messages will be reviewed and forwarded to the appropriate department for handling within two business days.
Please do not contact the anonymous hotline to report an emergency. Instead, contact Saint Rose Security at 518-454-5187 or call 911.
