Program Description

The academic program in History trains students to explore how social, cultural, economic, and material relationships have changed over time. History majors have the opportunity to study local and national developments as well as the regional and global interactions that have shaped the contours of modern society.

Degree Requirements

To earn a bachelor of arts degree with a major in history, a student must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
•45 credit hours in History courses, 24 of which must be at the 300 or 400 level
•42 credit hours in Liberal Arts requirements
•35 credit hours in general electives, a portion of which may be used for internship or study abroad program opportunities
