Whether we serve in a faculty, administrative or staff position, each employee has a passion for supporting the mission of the College -- ensuring that each student has a fulfilling educational experience.
Community
Our employees enjoy a close-knit community based on the values of honesty, trust, respect, fairness, responsibility and the free exchange of ideas.
We have many opportunities to become involved in the mission of the College-by serving on academic and non-academic committees, by serving as mentors for first year students, by participating in campus gatherings and volunteering in a variety of roles at our annual Commencement ceremonies each May.
Volunteering
We can include everyone because we are a small community. Yet we are big enough to make a difference. Employees eagerly volunteer during Reach Out Saint Rose to help our neighbors in the Capital Region and show their compassion by participating in our annual Relay for Life.
Recognition
We celebrate employee accomplishments at the annual awards program, where employees are recognized for superior performance and for their continuous service. We come together during the year for holiday parties, summer picnics, and ice-cream socials as well as recognizing special College events.
Inclusive Values
Guided by our founders and continuing sponsors, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet, the College is proud of its mission of service to the urban community. Â As an institution that values inclusion, we seek to attract and employ individuals who reflect the cultural diversity found within our student body, and across the nation and globe.

The College of Saint Rose is a diverse learning community that fosters integrity, interdependence, and mutual respect. Inclusive Excellence supports the advancement of reciprocal cultural sensitivity across campus, in order to build a culture that promotes the appreciation of diversity in every aspect of the College and the surrounding community. We are a place that values diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression, socio-economic status, religion, ability, age, veteran status, and nationality. Our institutional approach to Inclusive Excellence describes a quality of academic and professional experiences that are realized when all individuals have an equal opportunity to succeed. Inclusive Excellence infuses diversity into the institution’s recruiting, admissions, and hiring processes; curriculum and co-curriculum; and administrative structures and practices. Inclusive Excellence is central to our role as an engaged urban institution with a rich array of liberal arts and professional programs. This approach, grounded in our Catholic heritage, provides opportunities for greater learning, understanding, and growth for all of our students within local, national and global contexts.
