About the Military Friendly Rating

Victory Media, publishers of the G.I. Jobs magazine and website and a go-to resource for service members, veterans, and transition managers, which oversees the Military Friendly rating:

  • Engages the prospective military student or employee in a recruiting environment.
  • Educates the military student or employee once he or she is part of the company or school.
  • Employs the military student or employee in meaningful employment.

Then, we collect vast amounts of public and proprietary information; process this data using our methodology and weightings, which are established with the guidance of our Military Friendly Advisory Council, and audited by EY (Ernst & Young); and rate institutions and organizations on how Military Friendly they are.

What military friendly means to Saint Rose

At Saint Rose, we believe in serving people who have served. And we believe that veterans and veteran dependents add to the diversity of our community, bringing a perspective that is mature, team-oriented, and giving.

Because veterans (and their families) have sacrificed so much for us, we also believe in making them feel at home on our campus. That’s why veterans have a dedicated space where they can relax between classes, do homework, or connect with each other. It’s why Veterans Enrollment is headed up by someone who understands what it means to be a veteran – a retired Army Colonel. And it is why we have no cap on our Yellow Ribbon Program, making up for any costs not covered by the GI Bill®.
