Blackboard, St. Rose's course management system, is available to instructors who are interested in online teaching and learning, either to enhance a campus-based course or to create a course entirely online. Blackboard offers a rich variety of tools for posting materials online and facilitating interaction with and among students.

Course Combining

*Do you teach multiple sections of the same course?
*Are you teaching cross listed courses?
*Did you know that we can combine those courses in Blackboard for you?
This would free you up to only maintain one course in Blackboard. If this is something you would like to do – please complete the following form.  *Note that this option does not replace your original courses. So if you combine 2 sections of the same course you will now have 3 courses. You simply maintain the combined course and do not make the original courses available to your students.

Beginning of the Semester Checklist

When you are ready to get your Blackboard site ready to roll for the new term, here is a checklist I use to get my Bb site ready after copying the content over from the last time I taught it.

Reminder: If you're using Bb for the upcoming semester, don't forget to make your Course Available to your students:

• On your Control Panel at the lower left, click Customization. 
• Click Properties. 
• In area #3 for Availability, click Yes. 
• Be sure to Submit (either top or bottom).
