A Message from The Saint Rose Fund Chair, Tonita Ferradino McKone ’60, G’81

Your gift will be used to help Saint Rose students, 98% of whom receive crucial financial aid and scholarships. These scholarships would not be as plentiful and available without the generosity of those who make Saint Rose a charitable priority in their lives; people like you.

Also, consider the many recent accomplishments at Saint Rose - the creation of the Massry Center for the Arts, the state-of-the-art Center for Communications and Interactive Media, and the Christian Plumeri Sports Complex - all in support of student programming and activities. Furthermore, Saint Rose was ranked in the Top 40 of Northern U.S. Universities by U.S. News & World Report this year, our highest ranking ever!

Please join me in making a gift to The College of Saint Rose. When you give back, it ensures that our current students receive an exceptional educational experience to benefit them for a lifetime.

Your generous gift to The Saint Rose Fund for Students will fund the financial aid and academic scholarships necessary to ensure that students like Jessica will benefit for a lifetime from a Saint Rose education.

How has the scholarship you are currently receiving affected your college experience?
By allowing me to have one. Because I am fully responsible for paying my education here at Saint Rose, my scholarship eliminates some of the financial stress in my life and gives me more of an opportunity to focus on my studies. I am so thankful to the many Saint Rose alumni who have so selflessly given back to the College. Their gifts directly affect me.

How has Saint Rose changed your life?
Being a student at Saint Rose has allowed me to become acquainted with many wonderful people, especially my professors who care so much about me and my success. The Saint Rose community has offered me the chance to build relationships that I know will be long lasting and valuable both now and in my future, long after I have left Saint Rose.

What are your most meaningful achievements here at Saint Rose?
Becoming a Resident Assistant at Saint Rose is one of my most proud achievements. I am a noticeable and recognizable leader in the Saint Rose community. I have been given an opportunity to help others, impact their lives and encourage their Saint Rose experience in positive ways. This experience has inspired me to strive hard to be successful and hopefully find myself in the financial position to continue to help students in other ways throughout my life.
