I thought about where I wanted to be after college, if I were to stay in the Capital District, I felt that the professors here would help me with connections in the area. Once I decided I wanted to stay in the area, I knew it was the right choice for me.

I knew I wanted to go into business, but I was not sure what exact degree I wanted to pursue. When I was in high school, I realized that I really liked math and working with numbers which led me to decide that accounting would be the best field for me to go into. I really am glad that I chose this path for myself."

Saint Rose was chock full of organizations rich with opportunities to develop skills relevant to the workplace. Being a member of the mock trial team, has paid dividends with respect to learning how to testify as a witness, anticipating and responding to attacks from attorneys, and understanding courtroom procedure.

I also competed in the student-managed portfolio and Fed challenge, finance and economics competitions that allowed me to take academic information and apply it to dynamic challenges that reinforced the education I received in the classroom. I can think of few better ways to prepare for the working world."
