Get your second booster this week! Now that the updated COVID-19 booster is available, the College has made arrangements with Capital Regional Pharmacy Services to host another clinic on Thursday, September 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Saint Joseph Hall Auditorium. We’ll be distributing the Pfizer-BioNTech booster. Schedule your booster here. We’re also looking for help at the clinic – sign up here to volunteer.

Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with us! September is Latinx Heritage Month, and Student Development has come up with a fun schedule of events to close it out this week and through October. Head to the Calendar section for the full schedule. 

Find your people 💛 Need a break? We’ve all been there. Come de-stress and meet other students at Finding New Friends, a weekly activity where you’ll be invited to prioritize calmness and joy. Activities include baking, arts and crafts, games, and whatever else you want to do to cultivate good vibes for the week. Finding New Friends meets every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Interfaith Sanctuary. 

Friday Knights Program volunteers needed! Friday Knights is a program for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other social challenges that helps them experience social success and build friendships. Help them out by volunteering this semester! The program starts Friday, October 14, and continues on October 21, November 4, November 18, and December 2, and runs from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. A minimum of three nights of volunteering are required to participate. September is Suicide Awareness Month: The beginning of a new semester can be stressful, and we’re here to help. You can help, too! Add your empowering “I am…” statement to the board in the EAC Main Lounge this Wednesday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Health Services and the Counseling Center. We can’t wait to see what kind and creative messages you come up with to help yourselves and your fellow students! 

Join the Saint Rose cross country team! The Saint Rose men’s and women’s cross country teams are looking for students to join their team! Whether you competed in cross country in high school, enjoy running for fun, or are looking for a chance to become a collegiate student-athlete, cross country is a great opportunity to represent the College in the NCAA. Show the world what Strose Knows by becoming a Strose Knows Tutor! The School of Education is offering tutoring at the Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST) elementary school. Saint Rose students can become a tutor while earning service credit, field experience, and work study pay (if you qualify)! All disciplines and majors are welcome. Tutoring starts on October 4 and will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Discover amazing destinations around the world through Saint Rose’s variety of study abroad programs. Whatever your passion, we have the program for you! Celebrating our past athletes: The College of Saint Rose will induct two of the most successful teams in our intercollegiate athletics history into our Athletics Hall of Fame during an on-campus ceremony at the Massry Center for the Arts on Friday, October 7 at 6 p.m. The teams being inducted are the 2000 baseball team that advanced to the NCAA Division II World Series in Montgomery, Alabama, and the 1999-00 women’s basketball team that qualified for the Elite Eight in Pine Bluff, Arkansas will be honored. We need swim instructors! Did you know Saint Rose offers swim lessons for our community every Monday night? Well, we need new volunteer swim instructors of all levels (even non-swimmers) to make sure that keeps happening! This looks great on a resume, plus you can get your American Red Cross water safety certification!
