Reminders

Sign up to get boosted! As we announced at the beginning of the semester, the College is requiring that all students who are eligible get the COVID-19 vaccine booster by June 30, 2022. You won’t be able to enroll in the Fall 2022 semester until you’ve met this requirement, so make sure you get it done ASAP! We’ll be holding two more booster clinics on campus this semester on March 3 and April 7 – sign up for your booster here. Note: If you’ve already been granted medical or religious COVID-19 vaccine exemptions, you will continue to be exempt.

Did you already get the booster? Please send a copy of your updated vaccine card to covidresults@strose.edu ASAP!

Reminder about surveillance testing: Look for the email invitation to sign up for our campus surveillance testing, which will be sent out weekly to students and employees (regardless of vaccination status) so we can test about 25% of our campus population each week.

Fill out your daily questionnaire! It’s still vital that you keep filling this out, because it allows the College to act promptly should a student test positive for, have close exposure to, or have symptoms of COVID-19.

Keep up the good work! You’ve all done a great job staying safe and healthy this semester, so let’s keep it going – make sure you keep wearing your mask correctly so it protects you and those around you. P.S. A quick reminder that chairs in classrooms are set up for 3 feet of spacing between seats, but if things get shuffled around and feel a little too tight, you can move your seat.

Looking for an on-campus job? Sodexo is hiring! If you want to make some extra money this semester, our dining services team is hiring for part-time positions. If you’re interested, please contact Jean Baldwin at 518.454.5220 for more information.

Interested in becoming a school psychologist or special education teacher? Apply for Project THRIVE! If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a school psychologist or special education teacher, this is the opportunity for you. Project THRIVE is a grant that funds the majority of tuition for those pursuing a career in those two areas. For more information on how to apply for Fall 2022, please reach out to Crystal Bever at beverc@strose.edu. Or, find out more by attending the virtual information session on Thursday, February 10, at 5:30 p.m.

Open swim is back! Sign up here to reserve a spot for open swim for the rest of February.

Help us stop the spread! We’re gonna keep saying it every week, but the only way we’ll get through this wave of the pandemic is by working together! Keep yourself and your friends safe by properly wearing your masks inside (we’re talking mouth AND nose covered, people), limiting contact with people outside of your bubble, getting your booster, and checking the restart website for updates. If you or someone you know has been exposed to COVID-19, email covidresults@strose.edu so we can help you figure out what to do next.
