While studying in the United States, all international students must:

  • Attend and pass all your classes. If school is too difficult, speak with your DSO immediately.
  • Alert your DSO if you believe that you will be unable to complete your program by the end date listed on your Form I-20 so that a possible program extension can be discussed.
  • Enroll in a full course of study each term; if you cannot study full-time, contact your DSO immediately.
  • Do not drop a class without first speaking with your DSO.
  • Attend International Student Orientation. This usually occurs a few days before classes begin.
  • Keep documents up to date.
    • Their I-20 or DS-2019 must have a valid signature and appropriate end date to their program.
  • Follow all transfer in and out procedures.
  • Provide us with up to date contact information:
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email
    • Emergency contact
