In a landmark year of donor generosity, The College of Saint Rose has received $2.5 million in recent gift commitments. The announcement was made by Saint Rose President Carolyn J. Stefanco on Monday, August 21 at an annual gathering of faculty and staff to recognize the start of the academic year. The gifts were made in the 2017 fiscal year, which also marked the largest annual fundraising total in 15 years at $7.38 million.

“The College of Saint Rose has always been a giving community. These gift commitments will allow the College to further support what we do best: student learning,” Stefanco said. “College affordability is a challenging issue facing higher education. The majority of these recent gifts fund scholarship programs, opening up access to education for all. We are very grateful that our community supports our students with such generosity.”

An anonymous gift of $2 million will support a scholarship for students majoring in education.
