Mission and Responsibilities

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is dedicated to serving the students, faculty and staff of The College of Saint Rose.  Our service responsibilities flow directly from the College Mission, its Strategic Plan and assorted policies and procedures related to our academic programs.  The Office is responsible for supporting such functions as:

The Office of the Provost oversees such functions as:

  • Quality assurance of academic programs as well as the Library, Information Technology Services, International Programs, the Registrar, and various Centers and Institutes
  • Shared governance of faculty and administration
  • Faculty recruitment, hiring, evaluations, and development
  • College strategic planning
  • Assessment and program registration in concert with the New York State Education Department, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and professional accrediting bodies
  • Coordination of academic programs and initiatives with other Saint Rose entities, including the Student Association, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Public Relations, Finance, Administration, Advancement, the President’s Office, and the Representative Committee of the Faculty
  • Nurturing a collegial and dynamic community of scholars and artists

Our Team

The Office of the Provost/VPAA team members are Dr. Margaret Mclane, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Debra Liberatore LeBlanc, Director for the Office of the Provost/VPAA.
