Favorite memory at Saint Rose?
My favorite memory has been establishing connections with and collaborating with my professors. They truthfully strive to push you to reach your fullest potential in your field. I am appreciative of my professors who have built a strong rapport with myself and other students and continue to provide support both in the classroom and the field of education.

What are your future plans?
I will be using my MSEd in Educational Psychology to strengthen my teaching techniques as an elementary educator. I will continue to apply my knowledge and conceptual studies to formulate curricula and lesson development as well as influence my classroom management approaches.

Making the Saint Rose cheer team my freshman year, it was so hard to memorize all the cheers and dances but I was so happy and proud when I made the team after hours of practicing!

My favorite memory was, having an amazing speaker integrated into the classroom to discuss disparities and mental health topics among Native Americans. I always enjoy taking the time to learn and appreciate various cultures and backgrounds. The college of Saint Rose has been a positive experience overall with encouraging students to explore diversity in our personal and professional lives.

What are your future plans?
I would like to continue my education further and work towards a PhD in Counseling, I would like to receive training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. I would also like to learn through research ways of increasing efficacious treatment interventions when addressing populations facing both mental health and addiction concerns. My future involves continuing to learn and grow out of academia by exposing myself to new educational ventures throughout my life.

My favorite memory at St. Rose was coming up for weekend classes with cohort mates, taking long and engaging classes, exploring the campus town, and enjoying weekend events for the larger community on Campus. Memories I will never forget, and friends to last a lifetime.

Coming to Saint Rose as a 28 year old graduate student felt weird. Surrounded by people mostly younger than me, I was able to find new amazing friends with the same passions as me. I’ll never forget spending time in the campus center with my new best friends feeling like age really meant nothing, that together we are just students trying to get a degree. I feel so blessed to have the support of a wonderful Social Work staff.

What are your future plans?
I plan on moving to south carolina with my beautiful wife and working with the LGBTQ population in a clinical setting. I hope one day to move on to policy making to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

My favorite memory at Saint Rose is playing trivia with my teammates and being in a welcoming environment. The activities on campus was always a way of meeting new people, starting new conversations and learning more about the culture at Saint Rose everyday. I also enjoyed the prizes that I would win, this was always a good way to end trivia !

My favorite memory at the College of Saint Rose is all the times I visited the Interfaith Sanctuary. I specifically remember having such a relaxing time when there was a Gong Bath that night at the sanctuary. I also have amazing memories and learning experiences with my social work professors who have dedicated so much time and effort to helping us students excel in every way possible.

My future plan/goal is to become an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). I would like to become a therapist and work with individuals from youth to adults as well as make a difference in the world and my community.

My favorite memory from Saint Rose has to be the when in Dr. Lingertat’s nature elective we spent the good part of an hour over zoom completely silent because all she wanted us to do was walk and “take in the nature.” That class really made me appreciate all of the natural forms of intervention when it comes to counseling teens/adolescents.

I do not have a favorite memory because the majority of my memories of Saint Rose were amazing. From living in Brubacher Hall my freshman year to being an RA of a freshman dorm and everything in between, I am pleased with it all.

My favorite memory of St.Rose is Mrs. Chepaitis class. She asked us all to howl like wolves almost everyday as we settled into class. It made everyone laugh and got us all very comfortable speaking in front of each other.
