As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, Guadalupe Chavez ’16 had grown up thinking about the meaning of citizenship and nationality, how governments design and implement immigration policies, and, most important, how migrant communities respond.

Today, as a Fulbright Scholar conducting research in Mexico City, she is exploring many of those same themes.
