Art Exhibit Featuring Two Alums Opens at Esther Massry Gallery

Saint Rose studio art alumni Rachel Baxter ’11 and Daesha Devón Harris ’02 returned to campus this month to exhibit their artwork as part of The Karene Faul Alumni Exhibition 2019. The exhibition opened September 6 and is on view through December 7 at the Esther Massry Gallery, 1002 Madison Avenue, Albany.
 
Harris was recently featured in Smithsonian Magazine for her artwork titled “Just Beyond the River,” which draws inspiration from historical accounts of people born into slavery. Baxter has shown her work nationally and internationally and has been commissioned for both public and private murals.
