The College of Saint Rose’s Institutional Review Board is still functioning during the closure of the college.
All protocols will be reviewed and decisions will be made according to our typical schedule.
If you wish to turn in an IRB Form, please submit one document electronically to Sharon Jaramillo (jaramils@strose.edu). Any exEMPT protocols for the School of Education should be sent to Jean Esposito (espositj@strose.edu).
In addition to the change in submission, due to the measures Saint Rose has taken in protecting the Saint Rose community from COVID-19, we are temporarily suspending all research studies that involve face-to-face contact. Studies that involve face-to-face contact between researchers and participants or require physical sharing of materials must stop collecting data until otherwise notified. This change is effective immediately and will continue until classes resume and campus re-opens. Exceptions can be made for studies that are beneficial to participants, such as clinical trials or therapy interventions. If you believe your study is part of this exception, please contact the IRB chair.
Any studies that had face-to-face contact that would like to utilize alternatives such as Zoom, SurveyMonkey, or phone contact are encouraged to submit a revision request to the IRB chair. These revision requests will be given priority so that disruptions to data collection are limited.
