Brendan Peo

Brendan Peo ’12, G’13

Brendan Peo ’12, G’13 was nominated by his students’ parents and featured in the News12 New York City Educator Honor Roll for his advocacy work for students with disabilities. He currently works as a special education teacher and building special education chairperson, working with students in grades K-5 in the South Bronx.

2000s

Laurén Carter G’08 and her book “Mindful Admissions”

Laurén Carter G’08 is making her mark in education in a number of ways. She is a director of college counseling, a contributing writer to the Huffington Post specializing in college admissions, and recently authored a book titled “Mindful Admissions: An Insider’s Guide to Staying Sane, Applying Well and Getting Accepted to College.” The ultimate goal of the book is to educate, empower, and enlighten high school parents and teens. Her book is available now on Amazon.

Kent Sopris ’03, G’07 has been named the next president of The New York Association of Convenience Stores. Before assuming the role in July, Kent will serve as vice president alongside the current president while he finishes his term.
