March 24, 2017 — As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Hubbard Interfaith Sanctuary, The College of Saint Rose is hosting “Of Many Paths: An Interfaith Art Show,” a gathering of art from some of the many faith communities that make up the religious fabric of the Capital Region.  This is a rare opportunity to see a collection of paintings, prints and sacred art objects from Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Catholic and other Christian faith communities.

“Of Many Faiths: An Interfaith Art Show” will open Sunday, March 26, with a reception and program at 3 p.m. in the Hubbard Interfaith Sanctuary, 959 Madison Ave., Albany New York.  The display will continue on view through Friday, March 31, in the Sanctuary.  Viewing hours are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday.

Sponsored by the Office of Spiritual Life with the support of the Sidney and Beatrice Albert Interfaith Lectureship Board.

In addition, each day of the exhibit will feature a different special program:

Monday, March 27, 7:30 p.m.: Mindfulness and Art Making

Tuesday, March 28, 7:30 p.m.: Meditation Amidst the Art

Wednesday, March 29, 7:30 p.m.: Kirtan – Chanting and Drumming!

Thursday, March 30, 4:30 p.m.: Poetry Reading

Friday, March 31, noon: Cello performance by Dr. David Bebe, assistant professor of music

For 20 years, the Hubbard Interfaith Sanctuary has stood as a center devoted to peace, learning and interfaith dialogue and understanding for Saint Rose students, employees and the entire Capital Region.
