December 20, 2016 — Congratulations to The College of Saint Rose Fed Challenge Team, which took second place in the 2016 College Fed Challenge, Maiden Lane Division, held recently at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York!

The 2016 team consisted of Andrew Castro of Otisville, Orange County, Ahmed Diarra of Manhattan, Cody Snyder of Yorktown Heights, Westchester County, and Andre St. Louis of Washingtonville, Orange County.

Sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank, the College Fed Challenge is a demanding and unforgettable experience in economic analysis, monetary policy decision-making, public speaking and teamwork. To compete, teams of three to five students play the role of monetary policymakers by analyzing economic conditions, recommending a course for monetary policy, and participating in a question-and-answer with the judges. New York Fed economists and staff who are experts on economics and monetary policy serve as judges.

fed-reserve-2016Students from the Huether School of Business compete in the College Fed Challenge’s Maiden Lane Division, the division for students who have not completed a macroeconomics course.
