SAINT ROSE MAINTAINS CFP BOARD-REGISTERED PROGRAM STATUS FOR PROGRAMS IN FINANCIAL PLANNING
ALBANY (January 6, 2016) — The Huether School of Business at The College of Saint Rose has maintained registration with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) to provide a bachelor’s degree and a certificate of advanced study in financial planning.
An independent certifying organization, CFP Board owns the CFP® and Certified Financial Planner(TM) certification marks, which it awards to individuals who meet its education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements. Students completing the financial planning program at Saint Rose will have met the education requirement for the CFP® Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.
In addition, Financial Planning magazine recently named Saint Rose to its list of 60 leading schools for financial planning nationwide. Saint Rose is the only Capital Region institution to make the list and one of just 13 in the Northeast, placing the College’s program in the same company as Bentley University, Boston University and New York University.

Students in financial planning have the opportunity to pursue internships at numerous distinguished national financial firms. The graduate certificate prepares students to further their careers in financial services organizations, including banks, credit unions, insurance companies, investment firms, accounting firms or in private practice.
