LEED Gold plaque awarded to the Massry Center for the Arts

Our Commitment to the Environment

The College's Environmental Policy commits the entire Saint Rose community to following best environmental management practices in all operations; prevent, or minimize pollution, and use educational activities to promote environmental awareness, local action and global concern. Perhaps the most signifigant manifestation of this commitment to reducing the College's carbon footprint is the Massry Center for the Arts. In January 2010, The Massry Center for the Arts received a LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design) "Gold" rating in January 2010. A geothermal HVAC system heats and cools the building without the use of any fossil fuels making it one of the most energy efficient buildings in the region.
