I spent the summer in the middle of my master’s program taking a Kaqchikel Maya language course in Antigua, Guatemala. I got to learn the language from native speakers, and I was able to do my research on Kaqchikel Maya religious ceremonies at the same time.
Discourse analysis. I was working at Starbucks at the time, and I did my term paper on the discourse found on Starbucks coffee bags.
