An admitted student for master’s degree study beginning in Fall 2018 or Spring 2019 who meets specific criteria is guaranteed a $1,000 tuition grant each semester for up to two academic years (Fall and Spring semesters).

An individual student may only receive one grant or program incentive. A grant recipient may also be awarded a graduate scholarship or Graduate Assistantship if they apply for and are offered one.

Alumni In Education Grant

Who is eligible?

In order to be/remain eligible students must meet all of the criteria below:

  • notify Graduate Admissions of your interest in this grant by writing to grad@strose.edu and include your undergraduate degree (degree award and major) and year of graduation
  • have graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program at Saint Rose in 2017 or 2018
  • have applied by May 15th, 2018, and been unconditionally admitted to a Teacher Education graduate program for Fall 2018 (BS/MS students are not eligible) or have applied by October 15th, 2018, for Spring 2019
  • have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the Bachelor’s level
  • have submitted an Intent to Enroll form for Fall 2018 by June 15th, 2018, or for Spring 2019 by November 15th, 2018
  • be enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits each semester beginning Fall 2018 or Spring 2019
  • maintain good academic standing & a minimum GPA of 3.3

Bridge Grant for Career Changers

Who is eligible?

In order to be/remain eligible students must meet all of the criteria below:

  • notify Graduate Admissions of your interest in this grant by writing to grad@strose.edu and include your undergraduate degree (degree award and major) and year of graduation
  • be pursuing a career change as evidenced by notably different academic pursuits at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels
  • have at least five years of full-time, post-Bachelor’s work experience
  • have applied by May 15th, 2018, and been unconditionally admitted, to a master’s degree program for Fall 2018 (BS/MS students are not eligible) or have applied by October 15th, 2018, for Spring 2019
  • have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.3 at the Bachelor’s level
  • have submitted an Intent to Enroll form for Fall 2018 by June 15th, 2018, or for Spring 2019 by November 15th, 2018
  • be enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits each semester beginning Fall 2018 or Spring 2019
  • maintain good academic standing & a minimum GPA of 3.3

TA Matching Grant

Who is eligible?

In order to be/remain eligible students must meet all of the criteria below:

  • notify Graduate Admissions of your interest in this grant by writing to grad@strose.edu and include your current place of employment and job title
  • be serving as a Teaching Assistant in a district in the Capital Region
  • have applied by May 15th, 2018, and been unconditionally admitted, to a master’s degree program in Adolescence Education, Childhood Education, Early Childhood Education, or a Dual Program with Special Education for Fall 2018 (BS/MS students are not eligible) or have applied by October 15th, 2018, for Spring 2019
  • have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.3 at the Bachelor’s level
  • have submitted an Intent to Enroll form for Fall 2018 by June 15th, 2018, or for Spring 2019 by November 15th, 2018
  • be enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits each semester beginning Fall 2018 or Spring 2019
  • maintain good academic standing & a minimum GPA of 3.3

Health Care Industry Grant

Who is eligible?

In order to be/remain eligible students must meet all of the criteria below:

  • notify Graduate Admissions of your interest in this grant by writing to grad@strose.edu and include your current place of employment and job title
  • have at least five years of full-time, post-Bachelor’s work experience and be currently employed in a health care related field
  • have applied by May 15th, 2018, and been unconditionally admitted, to a master’s degree program for Fall 2018 (BS/MS students are not eligible) or have applied by October 15th, 2018, for Spring 2019
  • have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.3 at the Bachelor’s level
  • have submitted an Intent to Enroll form for Fall 2018 by June 15th, 2018, or for Spring 2019 by November 15th, 2018
  • be enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits each semester beginning Fall 2018 or Spring 2019
  • maintain good academic standing & a minimum GPA of 3.3
