Acccessing the Fitness Center

The College of Saint Rose Fitness Center has a No Card/ No Access, zero tolerance policy to insure that those who access our facility are entitled to do so.

If a Fitness Center Member forgets or loses their I.D. Card, they should not attempt to enter the Fitness Center with intent to argue or persuade the Desk Attendant for access. Willful disregard of this Policy may cause suspension of an individual’s Fitness Center Membership.

The Desk Attendant’s responsibility is to report any problems to the Fitness Center Coordinator and to the Office of Security regarding attempts to access the Fitness Center without swiping a Saint Rose I.D. card or by negotiating with the Fitness Center Attendant.

If the Fitness Center Member has damaged their I.D. Card, replacements may be obtained at the I.D. Card Office on the 3rd floor of St. Joseph’s Hall before attempting to access the Fitness Center. If your I.D. Card does no swipe correctly, you must have the issue corrected before attempting to re-enter for your next workout session.

Becoming a Fitness Center Member

An orientation is required in securing a membership to the Fitness Center. This orientation is administered at your freshman orientation. If you are a transfer student, or did not receive a freshman orientation, the attendant on duty can orientate you. Upon receiving your orientation you may access a link to the Indemnification Agreement on this page.

The completion of the Indemnification Agreement certifies your status as a Fitness Center member. Upon the swipe of your card, the system will then reflect your clearance to access the facility. The Swipe Card System is to insure that our facility is accessed only by those who are privileged to do so.
