Student Transition, Advisement and Registration (STAR) Day

Your experience begins with Student Transition, Advisement and Registration (STAR), a one-day program that is required of incoming undergraduate students. During STAR, you will be introduced to the academic expectations and campus engagement opportunities at Saint Rose.

In addition to a variety of presentations, there will be opportunities to connect with classmates, meet with a faculty advisor or academic counselor to review your first-semester course schedule, and enjoy lunch. STAR sessions have break-out presentations for family members as well. All deposited students will receive an email invitation to register for a STAR Day.

Week of Welcome and Orientation

Whether you are a first-year or transfer student, resident or commuter student, or international or out-of-state student, you are about to embark on an exciting journey at Saint Rose! Our goal is to make your transition as seamless as possible with our Week of Welcome (WOW) and Orientation.

Week of Welcome (WOW) begins with a kick-off event, followed by your two-day orientation experience. WOW continues with programs to provide you with opportunities to get better acquainted with the campus, get involved, meet fellow classmates and make new friends. As you settle in, you will soon discover that Saint Rose truly is a special place.
