We are a JED Campus; Our Students Are Stronger For It

JEDFoundation.orgThe Jed Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps protect the emotional health of our nation’s teens and young adults, and prevent suicide. Being part of the JED Campus Program means that Saint Rose has access to top-notch assessment and training tools we use to guide students through any challenges they encounter as they transition from high school to college and beyond.

The program also equips teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other. We encourage our students to explore the various online resources JED offers. They may even choose to take advantage of these before they enter college.

What is your best option after high school? This program guides students, families and high school educators through the challenges of transitioning from high school to college and adulthood.

ULifeline - Are you able to discuss mental health?

This online resource center offers college students information about emotional health issues and resources available to them. Also included: a confidential mental health self-screening tool.

Seize the Awkward - Does a friend, roommate or teammate seem to be struggling?

This campaign encourages young people to reach out to friend who may be struggling with mental health problems.

Half of Us - Do you ever feel like the only person worried about your mental well being or substance use?

This program features and students talking about their personal experiences with mental health and substance use. Half of Us helps young people feel less alone and encourages them to reach out for help.
