Dr. Stephen Birchak has been a college professor since 1980. He has worked at Colorado University, Colorado Northwestern Community College, The University of Northern Colorado, University of Maine, and The College of Saint Rose, where he has been a professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program since 1992.
Dr. Birchak teaches courses in Positive Psychology, Psychopathology, Addictions, Counseling Theory, Group Counseling, Lifespan Development, and Clinical Counseling Skills.
Dr. Birchak is the author of 5 books and has delivered the keynote address at over 40 conferences. He was named 2015 “Friend of Education” by the New York State School Administrators Association, and was also given the “2015 New York State Champion of Character Award” for his work with schools and organizations to promote civility and reduce bullying.
