Paul Evoskevich is Professor ofSaxophone and Jazz Studiesat The College of Saint Rose. Agraduate of the HarttSchool and The Eastman School of Music, he has performed withnumerousorchestras and with such music luminaries asLouis Bellson, Bob Mintzer, Bill Cunliffe, PaulAnka, Liza Minelli, Joel Grey, Johnny Mathis, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Sarah Vaughn,Theresa Brewer, and Ben Vereen. He has extensive experience recording for television and radioand is an active performer of classic saxophone repertoire and jazz. He has performed andpresented master classes throughout the United States and Europe.A former staff writer forTheSaxophone JournalandJazz Player Magazine, Mr.Evoskevich has written many articles onwoodwindplaying and jazz. Heis director ofThe College of Saint Rose Jazz Ensemble and wasdirector of the Empire State Youth Jazz Ensemblefor 32 years.Mr. Evoskevich is an R. S.Berkeley Virtuoso Saxophone artist.

Research/Creative Works

A former staff writer for The Saxophone Journal and Jazz Player Magazine, Mr. Evoskevich has written many articles on woodwind playing and jazz. Mr. Evoskevich is director of The College of Saint Rose Jazz Ensemble and The Empire State Youth Jazz Ensemble, a group comprised of outstanding high school jazz musicians from throughout the greater Albany, New York area.
