Professional Experience
I have been a faculty member in the Department of Educational and School Psychology since I received my doctoral degree. Currently, I serve as our Educational Psychology program coordinator. I am a nationally certified K-6 teacher in Finland, and I started my career as a second-grade teacher in my hometown, Jyväskylä.
Teaching Interests
I teach a wide variety of both undergraduate and graduate Educational Psychology courses, such as Motivational Approaches in Education, Psychology of Diversity, and Classroom Management.
Research/Creative Works
My research interests focus on motivational concepts and issues related to diverse learners. Currently, I am working on understanding our international students’ perceptions, expectations, and experiences.
