I have been a faculty member in the Department of Educational and School Psychology since I received my doctoral degree. Currently, I serve as our Educational Psychology program coordinator. I am a nationally certified K-6 teacher in Finland, and I started my career as a second-grade teacher in my hometown, Jyväskylä.
I teach a wide variety of both undergraduate and graduate Educational Psychology courses, such as Motivational Approaches in Education, Psychology of Diversity, and Classroom Management.
My research interests focus on motivational concepts and issues related to diverse learners. Currently, I am working on understanding our international students’ perceptions, expectations, and experiences.
