My favorite memory at the College of Saint Rose was getting accepted into the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network. I always think back to when I first got the call that I was in, I couldn’t believe it. Little did I know this would change my whole perspective on everything for the better. A true blessing at its finest! Not only did this program help me find my purpose but helped me understand what it means to define my agency as an entrepreneur, creative, and most importantly a black woman in America. As a result, from having a seat next to powerhouse figures, being published in the Times Union Women@Work magazine issue to connecting with some of the most influential players in the fashion world, I have learned that anything is possible. Anything that’s truly meant for you, God will place in your path. All it takes is faith, a dream, and consistency!
What are your future plans?
After graduation, I will be taking part in a fellowship with the worldwide non-profit organization Dress For Success New Orleans. While here I will be serving the position as a Development and People Operations fellow.
The purpose of the organization is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in their professional and social life. Providing long-lasting solutions for women so that they not only carry confidence and knowledge they can use to define their life, will help mold the direction in what success means to them.
In the future, I have aspirations to become a fashion creative director and with this comes engaging with clients daily to discuss their needs, organizing team brainstorming sessions, managing a budget, overviewing creative decisions, and producing projects. Specifically, I want to be able to not only cater to the needs of meeting a brand’s identity but also understand what it means to have an impact on working with clients directly to make sure that the individual feels heard and confident in their next steps in life.

My favorite memory at the College of Saint Rose was having Professor Helen Cheliotes. Her dedication to her students was heartwarming and motivating. I learned more from her and her class, than I did from most people in my lifetime. The way her class was regimented, allowed me to pass my SDL tests without a hitch. Professor Cheliotes, along with my Cohort, made my experience at College of Saint Rose extremely memorable!

My future plans are to become an Administrator in a DOE School building within the next 5 years.

One of my favorite memories is performing my senior recital. I loved being able to perform for my family and friends, and to have my sister Sarah and my dear friend Dan Foster accompany on piano, and to have my dear friend, teacher and mentor Dr. David Bebe perform my own composition for violin and cello.
Another favorite memory is performing my last orchestra concert as a music performance major to honor the legacy and impact of the professors in the music department and to perform two of my original compositions.

I’m began pursuing my MBA here at Saint Rose in Spring 2022 and I hope to continue my music education in either performance or composition after my complete my MBA by December 2022.

I cannot pick one specific memory but my graduate assistantship with the Community Service and Spiritual Life office was so special. I was given the opportunity to make a difference within the city of Albany and our Saint Rose campus. The students and staff I worked with are wonderful and really made school feel like home. When my supervisor had to retire abruptly, everyone pulled together to continue service projects and keep the office going. It was a great representation of the tight knit community and pride on campus. I was honored to co-lead the Happier Group on campus as well as partner with outside agencies such as the Red Bookshelf and RISSE.
What are your future plans?
I plan to work within the Maryland/Delaware area as a School Psychologist, helping children reach their fullest potential.

I hope to begin working as an Instrumental Music Teacher at the Elementary School level, encouraging students to become lifelong musicians and appreciators of music as an art form. As a music educator, I will advocate for each and every one of my students to have equitable access and opportunities to participate in an Instrumental Music program, regardless of socio-economic status or cognitive ability. In the late future, I hope to continue my schooling and enroll in a Doctoral program, studying Educational Leadership to become an administrator. After my experiences at Saint Rose, I am prepared to work as hard as I can to ensure that the students in my care will never have to experience the loss of a music or art program. I am prepared to protect my community from experiencing this loss as well.

My favorite memory involving Saint Rose takes place in the spring semester of 2020. I had the privilege and honor of traveling to Southern Ireland with the Saint Rose Chamber Choir, led by Dr. Michael Lister. We toured all across Southern Ireland, performing in cities suck as Cork, Limerick, and more. It was an incredible experience that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life, and I’m so grateful for the prosperous music department at Saint Rose that allowed this experience to be possible. I will always love and be grateful for my music family that I have made in my four years at Saint Rose. Forever priceless, not worthless.

I will graduate as one of the last ever classes on music education majors at the College of Saint Rose, and will go on to teach music full time back home in the DMV region.

My favorite memory involving Saint Rose takes place in the spring semester of 2020. I had the privilege and honor of traveling to Southern Ireland with the Saint Rose Chamber Choir, led by Dr. Michael Lister. We toured all across Southern Ireland, performing in cities suck as Cork, Limerick, and more. It was an incredible experience that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life, and I’m so grateful for the prosperous music department at Saint Rose that allowed this experience to be possible. I will always love and be grateful for my music family that I have made in my four years at Saint Rose. Forever priceless, not worthless.
What are your future plans?
I will graduate as one of the last ever classes on music education majors at the College of Saint Rose, and will go on to teach music full time back home in the DMV region.

One of my most memorable times at Saint Rose was being able to perform my Senior Recital in person. Having the opportunity to play for all of my family, friends, and professors who have seen me grow as a person and a musician over these past 4 years at Saint Rose was very huge and important to me.

Working at the Unity House as a youth clinical mental health counselor and case worker for individuals accessing transitional housing services

My future plans are to get my MSW and become either a school social worker or early intervention specialist.
