Pursue a Master’s or Doctoral Degree

- Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling.
- Supervised experience of at least 3,000 hours providing Mental Health Counseling (completed after earning a master’s degree).
- Successful completion of the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE), administered by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
