Accessibility of digital content

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, the founders of the College of Saint Rose, were known for their dedication to unity with all people. As such, the College is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion of all students, in our rigorous educational experiences, staying true to the progressive traditions of the founding Sisters.

To this point, it is imperative that learning is accessible to all students, regardless of ability, disability, or use of assistive technologies. In a world where content is readily consumed through online spaces, digital accessibility is a focus of Online Learning Services at St. Rose. Digital accessibility promotes equitable access to online content such as, but not limited to:

  • Online Courses
  • Websites
  • Video and audio content
  • Electronic documents

Focusing on accessibility in your teaching practices improves the learning for all students, and providing access to digital content without barriers to all learners is a federal law.
