The TBI Waiver and Neuro Services Program invite you to be a part of this initiative in order to raise awareness for communication difficulties that arise from brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions.

The 12th Annual Moving Message Awareness and Fundraising Walk

Saturday, September 9, 2023

The Moving Message Fund has been developed in part due to a rising need in the community. Many individuals who have survived brain injury, stroke and other neurologic events are left with a long-term need for speech therapy and/or supportive adaptive equipment (including but not limited to; AAC devices, tablets, and electronic readers). Often times their primary medical insurance covers short-term therapy, but is not sufficient to provide the care that is needed over time.

This fund has been established at The College of Saint Rose to help support those individuals. If approved, the funds can be used to obtain services from any licensed provider the applicant chooses. It can also be used to obtain communication devices, e-readers or other digital devices that are determined to be helpful to the individual in regaining communication ability (reading, writing, speaking and listening).
