Community Activism: Where do we go from here

About the Event
The celebration of Black History Month continues with a conversation with community leaders about community activism. Policies, laws, and societal norms have been impacted and changed as a result of individuals coming together in partnership. This communal engagement occurs when individuals’ collective voices create various organizations. These organizations can be comprised of individual members, organizations of organizations, or a mixed – organizations comprised of individuals and leaders from other organizations. Communities of faith are champions for moral and social change and we are the beneficiaries of the stand for justice that many faith communities and community organizations have taken over the years.
