Maureen Conroy ’72: Using Math to Explore Space
August 22, 2019 · Alumni Newsletter
In the 1970s, way before we’d heard of “big data,” Maureen Conroy ‘72 was writing programs to handle round-the-clock data feeds from space satellites. After trading in a plan to teach math for a love of space, she went on to use her math skills to design software for NASA’s most-powerful x-ray telescope.
Maureen was featured in the 2019 Spring Saint Rose Magazine. Watch a video showcasing her passion for space exploration here.
