2010s

Briteny Holden ’19 is a full-time instructor at Eastconn Northeast Regional in Danielson, Connecticut.

Joshua Rasmussen ’19 has become an assistant men’s soccer coach for Hudson Valley Community College (Troy, New York).

Vito Van Dunk ’19 is now an operations associate for business consulting with McDonald’s Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kyle Adams ’18 has become sports reporter for The Saratogian newspaper. In his debut column, he talks about his love of baseball, communications, and Saint Rose.

Sarah Murphy G’18 is an experiential learning coordinator at the University at Albany in Albany, New York.

Carly Weller ’17 has started working as a child life specialist at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.

Hannah Bensink ’16 is currently completing her J.D. at The George Washington University Law School while working full time at KPMG as a senior associate, transfer pricing and value chain management.

Brian Carroll ’16 is a software engineer at FLYJETS in New York, New York.

Artavius Fisher G’16, who has retired from the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, was in Albany to watch his former teammates perform at the Times Union Center.

Heidi Proper ’16 is working as a prevention services case planner with Community Maternity Services, for families with children in foster care. In August, she will be beginning medical school at the University at Buffalo (Buffalo, New York).

Brittany Terry ’15 has become a diversity and learning specialist for FCB Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

Chad Baxter ’14 is a financial advisor and Certified Financial Planner™ with Clarify Wealth Management in Lafayette, Indiana. “I work with individuals and families in regards to investing, retirement planning, student loans, and everything in between. In addition to working with clients, I also create the content for our blog, am part of our social media team, and help with our community education efforts.”

Asia Ewart ’14 has begun working as a trending-news writer for Refinery 29, in addition to being a multimedia editor for the New York Daily News (New York City).

Samuel Pierre ’14, G’17 was named to the “40 under 40” listing by the Albany Business Review.

Katherine Chwazik ’13, G’15 is exhibiting her recent work at the Lake George Courthouse Gallery in Lake George, New York, through April 10. The exhibit, part of the Lake George Arts Project, features Chwazik’s combination of printmaking, drawing, and sculpting that results in layered architectural imagery inspired by imagery from the Capital Region.

Casey Cleary ’11, G’13 has achieved national certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). She is a seventh-grade math teacher at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School in La Plata, Maryland.

Alyssa Hackett ’13 was in the news for her startup home-inspection company, her newest venture in finding ways to help others.

Justin Nadeau ’10 has been appointed chair of the industrial development authority for the city of Troy by Mayor Patrick Madden. A senior vice president at the New York Business Development Corp., which is now called Pursuit, Nadeau is also a real-estate investor in the city.

Benjamin Oevering ’10 was named to Albany Business Review’s “40 under 40” list.

2000s

Joshua O’Leary ’06, G’09 has joined Community Bank in Albany, New York, as vice president, commercial banking officer. He previously was a commercial relationship manager with Ballston Spa National Bank, and has also worked for Pioneer Bank and TD Bank.

Patrick Cullen ’08, G’10 has been promoted to vice president of product and engineering at Carrot Fertility in San Francisco, California.

Omar Lopez ’08 has become a trustee of the town of Ossining, New York. He is also a search consultant to On-Ramps.

Julie Reilly ’07, G’08 received the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Distinguished Elementary School Teacher award for 2019-2020 from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. She teaches first-grade students at All Saints Academy in Albany, New York, where she is now in her 13th year. This academic year, Reilly launched a broadcasting class at All Saints. Given to students in fourth grade and above, the course teaches many different facets of broadcasting, including setting up, interviewing, writing, recording, and using a green screen and teleprompter. The students produced the inaugural episode of their show, “Saints Alive!” in December 2019.

Katie Genovese ’03 has been announced as Director of Development at LaSalle School in Albany, New York. Her focus is coordinating resource development and community participation in support of a variety of programs for adolescent youth in the Capital Region and throughout New York State. Genovese, who began her fundraising experience at Saint Rose in 2004 as assistant director of alumni relations and annual giving, has more than 15 years of professional fundraising experience. She has successfully raised over $12 million for universities, arts institutions, and human-services organizations. Throughout her career, she has developed substantial organizational leadership, development, and grant writing skills.

1990s

Jason Miller ’94 was featured in the Amsterdam Mohawks’ (Amsterdam, New York) Hall of Fame for his long and successful baseball career, which he currently continues with his sports organizations, Kangaroo Court and Top-Tier Baseball.

Kelly Sloan ’93, G’11, principal at St. Madeleine Sophie School (Schenectady, New York), received The Bishop Howard J. Hubbard Distinguished Principal Award from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. She started at St. Madeleine Sophie in 2007 as a teacher, becoming principal in 2013, and previous to that had taught at St. Pius X Catholic School (Loudonville, New York) and St. Paul the Apostle School (Schenectady, New York). She herself is an alum of St. Madeleine School. Her spouse, Scott Sloan ’92, G’07, teaches at Sheridan Preparatory School in Albany, New York.

1980s

Mike Barcomb ’87 has been promoted to senior cybersecurity crisis response consultant at IBM Security X-Force in Shirley, Massachusetts.
