Saint Rose President Carolyn J. Stefanco

In conjunction with the Saint Rose Alumni Board, the College recently launched an alumni survey. As we near our centennial, we are proud of our nearly 44,000 graduates, and we invited as many as possible to share their thoughts and to provide suggestions for how they can feel better connected to what we do and who we are today.

To date, more than 800 people have taken the survey. To those who are included in that number, I want to assure you that we hear you. Some of the key takeaways from the preliminary results include:

• Alumni desire more communication, more events, and more ways connect to the College.
• Alumni also want more information about “life after Saint Rose,” including how graduates are making their mark in their careers and communities.

As a result of your suggestions, the alumni office is already planning activities beyond HOME.COMING & Family Weekend. We are also nearing the completion of a new, print edition of the Saint Rose magazine that will include great stories and photographs about life on campus, as well as a large section for alumni updates. You can help with these efforts by sharing your good news: new jobs, promotions, marriages, awards, graduations/certifications, births/adoptions, publications, and other accomplishments. Send those updates to us at alumni@strose.edu.

We promise incoming students that the College will be their HOME, and we want alumni to feel this way, too. We want you to have many reasons to come back to campus; to send your children, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren to follow in your footsteps as students; and to support us in our efforts as we begin our second century. The survey is just one step in our plan. We will continue to listen and to partner with alumni and other friends of the College as we create a bright future for Saint Rose.

Best wishes,

Carolyn
