Michael was a member of the Debate Club while a student at Saint Rose and attributes this experience as a singular factor in his later success.
At Saint Rose, there was a focus on attention to detail, fundamental skills in mathematics, computers and analytics, basic accounting, and written and oral presentation skills. Two basic skills — business writing and speech/debate are extremely important — the confidence and ability to interact that comes with effective communication skills are prerequisites for strong leadership capabilities.
