Joshua Rainer ’18
B.F.A. Graphic Design
Hometown: Guilderland, New York
Up next: Pursuing position at a full-service design firm

As a graphic design student at Saint Rose, Joshua Rainer had the pivotal experience of doing an internship with a New York City design firm Rainer worked at Bartley & Dick, a Manhattan-based design and advertising agency and lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Rainer is among the many design students who fan out in the summer to take part in an internship.

Rainer said working for the agency had helped him mature, both personally and as an art student. Like many classmates, he benefited greatly from the small classes and attentive faculty at the College’s Center for Art & Design.

“You have a really tight community. We’ve all gone through this intensive experience and grown close. I feel completely prepared to go on to the next step, and I’m very grateful to Saint Rose for that,” Rainer said.
