Handcrafted art for your garden by Emily.
What inspired Emily’s business:
For three years, I was the sole proprietor of a storefront paint-your-own pottery and glass-fusing studio. In 2010, the economy was such that becoming an independent artist and entrepreneur from my home made more sense for our family life and my desire to do more art rather than run a brick-and-mortar business. This has worked well for me as an artist and given me the time I need for my family as well.
How her Saint Rose experience helped her career:
As a music education major at Saint Rose, I gained many life skills among which were perseverance and networking. Although my business is outside my degree area, I learned that joining a community of people and being part of something larger than yourself are of key importance in life and business success.
