Our Veteran Center

Students gather together at the Veteran Center for a Student Veterans of America meeting. Student Veterans participate in discussion at a Student Veterans of America meeting at the Veteran Center. Students can study at computers provided at the Veteran Center. The View from the Porch at the Veteran Center can't be beat. Veterans, servicemembers, dependents and friends can hang out, collaborate, study, or relax at the Veteran Center. We welcome folks of all ages and backgrounds.

We believe veterans and veteran dependents share a connection, and our Veteran Center is a space to study or socialize with that community. It’s also a place veterans and veteran dependents can receive help with their military benefits, find support and encouragement, and get their questions answered.

The 1,300-square-foot house was renovated and dedicated in 2015 and is an official “Battle Buddy Center,” as designated by New York State Industries for the Disabled Inc. (NYSID). Our students often stop in between classes for a quiet place to get away.

The Veteran Center includes a comfortable space to lounge, a study area with computers, and a kitchenette. Our staff members in veteran enrollment, Martin Dinan and Nick Lanier, who both proudly served, have offices just upstairs.
