The College of Saint Rose will hold “Makers: A Showcase of the Arts,” a first-ever, multidisciplinary arts event that showcases the creative talents of students from the music, communications, and art and design programs on April 6.

From 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 6, “makers” from all three departments will display their work in the William Randolph Hearst Center for Communications and Interactive Media, 996 Madison Ave., Albany; the Massry Center for the Arts, 1002 Madison Ave., Albany; and the Esther Massry Gallery, located within the Massry Center. Weather permitting, some of the events will take place in the outdoor courtyard.

In each location, visitors can view, experience, and interact with works from each department.

The event runs concurrently with the reception for the Senior Show Exhibition in the Esther Massry Gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. The Senior Show features the works of graduating students from the graphic design and studio art programs at Saint Rose.

Light refreshments will be served. Each visitor will receive a special commemorative pin with a Maker logo designed by student members of the Saint Rose American Institute of Graphic Arts club.

All events are free and open to the public.
