ALBANY (December 1, 2016) — The College of Saint Rose Physical Education Department offers low-cost physical education classes designed for preschool, kindergarten and home-schooled children.

The weekly classes for children ages 4-12 will be held Tuesdays beginning February 21, 2017, through April 18, 2017, (excluding March 7 and March 21) from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. in the Nolan Gymnasium on the second floor of the Saint Rose Events and Athletics Center, 420 Western Ave., Albany, New York.

The classes are open to children of all ability levels. The program encompasses a complete physical education curriculum with a large variety of activities in aquatics, basic skills, character, fitness, games and sports, gymnastics, outdoor living skills, rhythm and dance, safety and wellness. Children are taught by Saint Rose students who are learning to become teachers and supervised by the chair of the Physical Education Department. With a ratio of one teacher for 1-2 children, each child receives individual attention and instruction.

The full package of eight sessions costs $30. Registration is required and must be paid in advance.
