ALBANY (March 22, 2016) — The College of Saint Rose presents the 2016 Senior Exhibition, an annual exhibition of outstanding works by the graduating seniors in the College’s art programs.

The exhibition will open Friday, April 8, and be on view through Sunday, April 17, at the Esther Massry Gallery, Massry Center for the Arts, 1002 Madison Ave., Albany, New York. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday noon-5 p.m., Sunday noon-4 p.m., closed Saturday.

A gallery reception will be held Friday, April 8, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. All gallery events are free and open to the public.

Forty-one seniors will participate from the College’s art education, graphic design and studio arts programs. All are candidates for bachelor of science, bachelor of arts and bachelor of fine arts degrees.

The Saint Rose Art Department was established in 1970 with the undergraduate art education program. Studio art and graphic design were added as degree programs in the mid-1970s. In 1977, the department was relocated from the main campus to Picotte Hall, a 30,000 square-foot facility located in the heart of Albany’s historic Center Square neighborhood. The department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
