Freshman Applicant Information

The Undergraduate Admissions Office begins review of Freshman applications each fall in late September for the following Fall. We encourage students to submit a complete application as early as November. The Admissions Team will return a decision on complete applications within just three weeks. We award academic scholarships at the same time.

What Makes an Application Complete

  • Online or Paper application (fee waived for online applicants!)
  • Official High School Transcripts
  • Official Transcripts for any College Level Coureses
  • SAT or ACT scores (Saint Rose school code: 2074)
  • Letter of Recommendation from a Counselor or Teacher 
  • Essay or Graded Paper
  • Art applicants are required to complete a portfolio review.  Click here for more information.
  • All prospective music majors must audition in order to be considered for admission into the Music Department. Click here for more information.
  • Applicants for Spring or Fall 2012 may also apply via the Common Application Online.

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships are based on overall GPA, and SAT or ACT scores. If you take the SAT or ACT more than one time the Admissions Team will take the higher score into consideration. Scholarship decisions are mailed with Acceptance Packets in the form of a letter. Click here to find out if you qualify for an Academic Scholarship.

Art and music applicants will be eligible for art or music talent scholarships if their application and portfolio review or audition are both complete or postmarked by February 1st.

For Fall 2012:
February 15th
 -Extemded Deadline For Scholarship Consideration

Submit your Saint Rose application by February 15th:
1. for guaranteed considerdation for scholarships;
2. know your admissions status within just two weeks;
3. be among the first to receive your financial assistance package;
4. have until May 1st to make your final decision (for fall enrollment only)

After February 15, applications will be reviewed for admission decisions and need-based financial assistance, but not scholarship consideration.
