Risk Assessment and Alcohol Awareness Project

The RAAAP at The College of Saint Rose seeks to enhance the Saint Rose community through increasing the awareness of the impact of alcohol consumption and its associated consequences. This program supports the overall goals of the The College of Saint Rose, where we strive to provide a safe environment that supports academic excellence, critical thinking, values formation and responsible citizenship by encouraging responsible and healthy choices.
 

Tasks of the Project

  • Develop a comprehensive campus-wide education plan utilizing a systems level approach
  •  Increase awareness of the Saint Rose culture as it relates to alcohol consumption and abuse
  •  Develop a campaign that focuses on students’ perceptions and realities of alcohol use
  •  Expand alternatives to alcohol use

Goals

  • Commitment to a centralized and coordinated plan for risk assessment and alcohol awareness
  •  Determine what is currently offered
  •  Development of a systems level 3-5 year strategic plan specific to alcohol and other drug education and prevention programming (including measurable goals and objectives)
