How To Apply for Financial Aid

In order to apply for financial aid from The College of Saint Rose, you must:
1.Complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) can either be completed on-line or submitted by mail. Be sure to list The College of Saint Rose Federal School Code—002705. The FAFSA is available at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.
2.Priority Deadline for receipt of FAFSA: March 15.
Processing of the FAFSA can take up to 4 weeks, so be sure to allow sufficient time. The Financial Aid Office must receive your ISIR by March 15 to better serve you.
3.New York state residents will receive an Express TAP Application from NYSHESC. This must be signed and returned to NYSHESC. If you are not a New York state resident, you should investigate the availability of your home state’s aid programs.

When you have been accepted for admission and have filed the necessary aid papers, the Office of Financial Aid will calculate an award package specifically designed for you. Financial need is determined by the information supplied by you on the FAFSA, including family size, income and assets, and the number of family members attending college. Eligibility for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and is determined by specific formulas established by appropriate state and federal agencies.
